8. What is the difference between yellow, green and red coloured predictions?

The predictions highlighted in Yellow are for upcoming matches. Green and Red are for finished games. Green - Forebet prediction has matched with the final outcome; Red - Forebet prediction is different from the final outcome.

10. What is Kelly Criterion?

The Kelly Criterion is a mathematical formula that provides insights into the effectiveness of predictions. It compares our predicted probabilities for sports fixtures against general expectations to offer a deeper understanding of prediction values.

11. What are Values?

“Values” are selected predictions, chosen mainly by the Kelly Criterion.

12. What is Pick for the day?

15. What do the numbers in the Average Goals column mean?

The average goals are the predicted avg. goals scored by both teams in certain fixtures. It is useful for any Goal Line predictions such as Under/Over 2.5.

16. What is the difference between the Top Predictions and Value sections?

Two of the key sections on Forebet's website are Top Predictions and Value. Both sections feature selections of football predictions that are based on the Kelly Criterion.

The Kelly Criterion is based on the probability of winning and losing, compared to the net odds received. This mathematical formula is used for anything from sports predictions to investments with the goal of maximizing long-term success by pinpointing the optimal ration of investment to risk.

By using the Kelly Criterion, Forebet's algorithm picks out the football predictions with the best ratio between the official odds and Forebet's prediction and groups them in the Value section, as those are the games that offer the best possible value, should the result go the way Forebet has predicted.

In the Top Predictions section, Forebet also groups some of those same games that have shown value potential according to the Kelly Criterion, but only those of them that have a particularly high likelihood of going a certain way (1X2), i.e. that have around or above 50% for 1, X or 2. Therefore, the Top Predictions section offers fewer "value" predictions for people looking for the idea marriage between higher value and lower risk.
