    With the likes of Caglar Soyuncu, Ozan Kabak and Hakan Calhanoglu in their ranks, Turkey could spring a few surprises at Euro 2020. Here is the Cresent-Stars' 26-man squad in full.

    • Who Will Turkey Face in Group A?

    Turkey face Italy in Rome for the Euro 2020 curtain-raiser on June 11, before coming up against Wales in Baku, Azerbaijan, on June 16.

    Gunes’ side will stay in Azerbaijan for their final group-stage match, with Switzerland their final opponent on June 20.

    • Turkey’s Star Player

    Burak Yilmaz: Even at the age of 35, Yilmaz has still got what it takes to be a major threat at Euro 2020. After all, he netted 16 goals en route to lifting the Ligue 1 trophy with Lille this year.

    On the international stage, the veteran striker has scored 29 goals in 67 appearances for Turkey – underling his importance to his country.

    • How Far Can Turkey Go?

    Turkey have more than enough quality to get out of Group A. But after that, it could be tough for the Cresent-Stars to navigate their way through the knockout phase.

    Although they made it all the way to the semi-finals back in 2008, Gunes’ men aren’t expected to make it to the last eight.
