Lionel Messi will lead Argentina into the FIFA World Cup 2022, as La Albiceleste attempt to win the trophy in the legendary player’s last-ever tournament.

The 2022 World Cup is going to make history as being the first tournament played during winter. By awarding the tournament to Qatar, it presented some challenges for FIFA, with the summer climate being one of the key issues.

UEFA are due to meet on Tuesday the 17th of March as they try and decide what is going to happen with the remainder of the European football season. Europe has become the centre of the COVID-19 outbreak and all of the leading domestic leagues have been suspended.
