On Tuesday evening, two giants of international football will battle it out for a place in the final of Euro 2024.

Spain and France will lock horns at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena, with the winner set to face either the Netherlands or England in Sunday’s showpiece.

If you’re looking for stats, trends and analysis, we’ve got you covered. Read on to discover what our predictive analytics model forecasts.

Spain booked their place in the semi-finals with a 2-1 victory over Germany, despite the host nation racking up 23 shots across normal and extra time.

Dani Olmo put La Roja ahead before Florian Wirtz equalised in the 89th minute, but Mikel Merino scored the winner in the final minute of extra time.

After securing three straight clean-sheet wins during the group stage, Spain thrashed Georgia 4-1 in the last 16, coming from behind to avoid a shock.

The Spanish have now scored 11 goals in five games at Euro 2024 (2.2 goals per game), conceding on just two occasions along the way.

Meanwhile, France required penalties to overcome Portugal in the quarter-finals, following a goalless draw between the teams.

Les Bleus have managed to win just two of their five matches in normal time, recording three low-scoring draws on their way to the semi-finals.

It is also worth noting that France have yet to score a goal from open play at Euro 2024, benefitting from two own goals and a Kylian Mbappe penalty.

That said, Didier Deschamps’ side have remained solid at the back, keeping four clean sheets in five games en route to the last four.

Head-to-head: There has been only one draw in the last 12 meetings between Spain and France, with La Roja winning five of the previous eight encounters.

It is also worth pointing out that seven of the past eight meetings have produced under 2.5 goals, pointing towards a low-scoring contest on Tuesday.

Team news: Spain’s Dani Carvajal and Robin Le Normand are suspended, while Pedri is an injury doubt after leaving the field early in the quarter-finals.

On the flip side, France’s Adrien Rabiot is back from suspension and looks set to join N’Golo Kante in Les Bleus’ midfield once again.

Given that France have not scored a goal from open play so far, Tuesday’s showdown is destined to be a tense and cagey affair.

Forebet predicts that Spain and France will play out a goalless stalemate in normal time, meaning extra time and/or penalties will be required to determine the winner.
